what an awesome performance to end the league season!
The U11 Blacks finished with a dominant display winning by 337 runs to 187 against Pentyrch.
Batting first, all pairs went well with only two wickets conceded. Notable mentions must go to Ed J (21) Ollie M (18), George M (16) and Orrin H (15) but not taking away anything from the entire team who were patient and then punished the poorer balls.
Having built up a significant total, there were concerns from the “crowd” that complacency might become a factor. Not a chance, as the team set about demolishing their opponents. 14 wickets in total with Tilly D getting 3 for only 4 runs! George M, Herb A, Dylan J getting 2 each, and Alex W, Osian D, Ollie M, Ed J and a cameo from Orrin H all getting one. The fielding was absolutely superb with catches from George M, Osian D, Osian R, Ed J and Tilly D alongside direct-hit run-outs for George M and Ed J. Even the opposing coach was enthusiastically clapping by the end, in awe of what he was seeing, such was the high standard.
Congratulations everyone, it was a very much deserved result after the many hours of practice all the players, parents, and coaches have put in over the season!
